You’re invited… Unlock the art of storytelling at our upcoming subscriber workshop

Are you ready to sharpen your storytelling skills?

Before we start our summer content break, I wanted to tell you about The Intelligent Miner’s upcoming subscriber only workshop ‘Creating compelling stories about mining’ which will take place on Zoom on September 9th at 4pm UK/ 11am EST/ 8am PST.

I strongly believe that communication is a missing piece of the mining sustainability puzzle. How can companies expect to attract new investors, talent and game changing partners from outside of the industry if they can’t explain what they’re doing and why they’re doing it effectively?

Also, storytelling is not just about writing articles; every time we have a conversation, give a presentation, create a video or social media post, we’re telling a story. How well we do that could make the difference between someone forming a positive (or at least a progressive) view of the industry or a negative one.

So let’s sharpen our skills together. We’re bringing together three thought leaders – BBC documentary maker and geo-communications professor, Dr Iain Stewart, YouTuber and social media expert, Jessica Scanlan, and neuroscientist and geo-comms guru, Dr Haydon Mort – for an interactive discussion.

We’ll explore the challenges that companies face when crafting stories for different audiences, the science behind effective storytelling, and tools and techniques that can be used to hook people and get them sharing our stories too. If you can’t attend live, there will be a recording available after the workshop and a workbook full of ideas that you can refer back to.

Unlock access to this and all future workshops (they’ll be quarterly going forward) by subscribing today. You’ll also receive monthly reading lists, exclusive interviews and even more in depth content. We’d love to have you in our community.

See you in September!
