Welcome back friends! I have a lump in my throat as I write this, because I have very big news to share… In April 2025, The Intelligent Miner will launch a subscription service. Why? Because this has always been a community-led publication. I love that the topics we cover and the content my team and I create is driven by you, the mining and metals community.
I want to continue bringing you fresh perspectives on the industry and having the conversations that other titles aren’t. I want to continue championing new writers, and helping them to flourish. I want this publication to continue to be different. And for that to happen requires investment.
What does this mean for you? First and foremost, it’s important to know that we’re not taking anything away. There will still be new articles published each month that are free for everyone to read, and our library of 200+ thought leadership articles will remain open. One of The Intelligent Miner’s raisons d’etre is to invite people from outside of the mining industry in; that wouldn’t be possible if all our content sat behind a paywall. This newsletter will also remain free to receive, as will the podcast.
What we are offering with the subscription is an extra layer of content, for those who love what we do and want more. There are two subscription tiers: for our subscriber community there will be more in-depth feature articles and interviews every month written by The Intelligent Miner’s editorial team. There will also be regular interactive workshops with industry experts and e-books on standout subjects.
For those who want to go deeper and have a say in shaping the stories that the mining and metals industry shares with the world… we’re creating an exclusive founding members committee. Our 50-member strong committee will receive everything the subscriber community does, plus a say in The Intelligent Miner’s editorial direction through bi-annual strategy updates and an annual editorial committee meeting.
And to make sure that everyone feels welcome, both options are very reasonably priced. To learn more and sign up ready for April, head to our webpage. Also, tell me what you think – the good, the bad and the beautiful – I’m here for it. Your questions are always welcome.
I am, and will remain, at your service.
Carly
P.S. Oh, and in case that’s not enough, we got our own line of kick-ass stationery! Check it out
