Welcome back Intelligent Miners! It’s once again the time of the year when I ask you all: what would you like to read over the coming 12 months?
Think big, go mad. While I absolutely can write about all the usual mining-related topics, it’s the conversations we’re not yet having publicly that interest me the most. You know, the ones we talk about with colleagues over lunch or via email “did you see that article in XYZ? It’s a shame they didn’t mention…” or the subjects that are raised at conferences, but not fully explored “that was an interesting presentation, but why aren’t we talking about XYZ?”.
Yep, the complex or difficult discussions. Those are the ones I’d like to explore for and/or with you. Don’t be shy. Those of you who have been here for some time will know that I love to hear from readers, and I ask this of you every year. I want this publication to continue adding value and interest rather than re-treading the same topics annually.
Likewise, if you’d like to contribute an article you’ve written yourself on a subject that you’re passionate about, we have a free monthly op-ed slot and I’m open to pitches. We welcome diversity of presence and thought.
So, what are you waiting for? Drop me an email. No need for an essay, a couple of lines will do. I’ve already filled in the subject line for you.
Looking forward to your responses…
Carly
